Chantal Blackshaw M.A., M.DIV., CCC
Counsellor
Specializing: Individual and Couple Therapy, Anxiety/Depression, Conflict Management and Communication Counselling
Office: Burlington, Guelph, Hamilton
As a therapist, I try to provide a safe haven for each and every person who enters my office. I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help, but I also know how rewarding the benefits of reaching out can be. By taking this important step, you will be supported and nurtured by someone who has a naturally caring, gentle nature and who will provide an empathetic presence where you can share the most sacred parts of yourself. It is an honour for me to be able to walk with someone on their journey toward healing and growth. Nothing gives me more joy than to know I have made a difference in another person’s life.
My specialization is in individual and couple counselling. I provide an accepting and non-judgmental environment for all of my clients regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, faith or sexual orientation.
Areas of specialties include:
- Relationship issues
- Self-esteem
- Anxiety/Depression
Education
A Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and Psychology obtained at The University of Western Ontario, where I also completed a Master of Divinity degree. My most recent degree, Master of Arts in Theology: Spiritual Care and Counselling was earned at Wilfrid Laurier University.
"We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - Marrianne Williamson
